Nanhua University’s Coming of Age Ceremony held at Fo Guang Shan Buddha Memorial Hall for the first time; more than 1,000 freshmen participated

Nanhua University attaches great importance to student morality and life education. Every year, it holds a Coming of Age Ceremony for freshmen. This year coincides with the 95th birthday of founder and Venerable Master Hsing Yun and the 25th anniversary of the founding of Nanhua University. Due to these significant events, the ceremony was held off campus at Fo Guang Shan Buddha Memorial Hall in Kaohsiung. 

On event day, December 19, over 1,200 teachers and students including supervisors, department chairs, mentors, and freshman students, and led by President Tsong-Ming Lin, returned to Fo Guang Shan in order to pay tribute to the Master Hsing Yun for founding the university and providing Nanhua with abundant resources and a high-quality learning environment. Nearly 400 parents from throughout the country attended the ceremony. Additionally, 140 groups of parents participated in the tea ceremony to witness the important and momentous occasion of their children becoming adults.
